The Question: Should the '3 BE100 wins and you move up to BE100o or Novice' rule be reinstated or not?
The Result: Of current ERA membership of 512, an excellent 120 people voted (over 23%). Of those that voted it turned out to be a massive yes with 113 votes (94%) to bring the rule back and only 7 votes (6%) to leave it as it is currently. As such, this information has already been fed to the Chairman of the Sports Committee. Plus it will also be raised by our rider rep on the Sports Committee, Nick Gauntlett, at the next meeting. However, whilst 120 votes is good, the more people that vote the more weight to the arguement; please encourage your fellow event riders to register and vote!

The Question: Should you have to pay a £10 joining fee if late in renewing your BE membership?
The Result: Of a ERA membership of 489, 58 people voted (12%). Of those that voted 24 votes (41%) were against having the £10 charge for renewing you BE membership late and 34 votes (59%) were for the £10 charge all be it immediately or anything up to 12 months or more from when the renewal was due. As such, the membership seems to be pretty evenly split on the issue and therefore, with due consideration, the ERA Board have decided in this instance not to raise this as a petition but have made BE aware of the results.
